What is this coaching all about?
The role of the coach is to support and facilitate the client to examine, create, and define a goal or goals for their life.
The client’s well being is central to coaching.
Coaching is not a substitute for consulting, psychotherapy or any mental health service.
It does not involve “telling” or “advising” the client on what to do. The process is aligned to the client’s own choice and responsibility. The client is expected to be resourceful and take responsibility for doing the work to achieve the desired results. Communication on the part of the client with the coach is key to maintain a constructive and ongoing service as needed.
How long does it take?
Total number of visits required depends on the client’s needs. Sometimes a short series of sessions is what is required; for others, it could be longer. But length of coaching cycle is in the hands of the client. Each individual session will typically last for 60 minutes and will begin and end on time unless both client and coach have agreed prior to the start of a session to extend a current session.
What does it cost?
The total cost is dependent upon and driven by the individual needs of each client. These details can be discussed at the time of an initial communication between coach and client.
